Agenda

As data demand continues to grow exponentially, Wi-Fi has become a strategic imperative for traditional fixed and mobile operators and a new range of service providers in retail, hospitality, event venues, and more. New business models are emerging as quickly as old ones evolve, and user expectations continue to raise the bar for performance, security, and ease of use. Wi-Fi technology has continued to evolve accordingly, delivering security and seamless authentication with Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Passpoint™, Wi-Fi roaming with Next-Generation Hotspot, and new solutions for video distribution in the home.

Who should attend: Network technology senior decision makers from broadband, cable, Wi-Fi, and mobile network operators, as well as hospitality, managed facility and municipal wireless network managers should join this one-day session to learn how to leverage new technology and protocol developments to deliver a Wi-Fi experience as seamless and secure as that experienced on cellular networks, unlocking more value from Wi-Fi deployments through a range of exciting new and evolving business opportunities. Attendees will understand how Passpoint and Next-Generation Hotspot work, and will gain insight into the industry roadmap of continued enhancements to one of the most versatile, important technologies of our time.

Our special guest, Digital Living Network Alliance, will review the new VidiPath™ technology, expanding the DLNA ecosystem to include the secure delivery of subscription TV content. In this session, DLNA will discuss how manufacturers, service providers, and consumers have embraced the truly connected, digital lifestyle and will highlight how VidiPath will enable consumers to enjoy their service providers’ full subscriber experiences on many devices in the home including TVs, tablets, smartphones, Blu-ray players, PCs and game consoles. VidiPath facilitates this capability by ensuring there are a mandatory set of features on the CE devices to which subscription TV services are delivered.

Passpoint, Next-Generation Hotspot, and VidiPath demonstrations will be available onsite.
